Make more putts by using half of the hole…

This is a great putting practice tip from Michael Breed of the Golf Channel…

One of my favorite drills is where you put a ball to cover up the low side of the hole. What this does is make the hole smaller and forces you to make the ball on the high side. Here I have a putt that is breaking left to right.

I have placed a ball on the lower right side on the hole. This drill will teach you speed as well as feel on putts from any distance. After trying this drill head out to the course and you will see a hole that looks more like a bucket instead of the thimble.

Incorporate this drill into your short game practice and you’ll stop leaving putts on the low side, where they never have a chance to go in….TGB.
