Another devastating blow to the Michell Wie camp!

Poor little Michelle Wie just can't get a break...The latest blow came Monday when her agent resigned after less than a year on the job.

Greg Nared, a former Nike business manager whom the William Morris Agency hired a year ago to manage Wie, resigned as vice president of golf. His announcement came one day after Wie finished 19th in a 20-player field at the Samsung World Championship. Wie finishes the season with a 76.7 scoring average after only breaking par twice...Maybe she should fire her parents.

Who's the Sexiest Woman on the LPGA??

As you all know, we like to keep the Tour Golf Blog "family friendly", but once and a while we just have to push the limit a little bit. We want to find out "Who is the Sexiest LPGA player on tour"? There are some great looking ladies out there these days, and the LPGA of today sure ain't the LPGA of the 1970's....or the 1980's for that matter.. So take a look at our selections and let us know who you want to vote for....We'll tally the votes and see who is "The Sexiest Woman on the LPGA Tour"?

Ok, we know this isn't as much fun as a "Sexiest NFL Cheerleader" poll...but we do golf here...Sorry! Now vote for one of these ladies.

Goodbye Nissan Open...Hello The Northern Trust Open

The PGA Tour announced Wednesday that the title sponsor of the Nissan Open at Riveria Country Club in Los Angeles, California will no longer be Nissan and will now be named The Northern Trust Open. Northern Trust, a Chicago based company, signed a five year deal, giving the tournament a new name for the first time since 1989, when Nissan took over as title sponsor.

Nissan had signed a contract to sponsor the event through the 2010 season, however recently moved it's U.S. based headquarters from Southern California to Nashville, Tennessee and asked to be released from their contract if another sponsor became available.

Northern Trust is an investment management and personal trust company based in Chicago, with two offices in Los Angeles and branches in Newport Beach and Santa Barbara.

Gatorade Tiger...coming soon.

Tiger Woods officially signed an endorsement deal with Gatorade on Tuesday, which represents Tiger's first U.S. deal with a beverage company. The new Gatorade Tiger will be released in March of 2008, with 3 new flavors, cherry blend, citrus blend and grape, which were hand picked by Tiger himself.

The terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed however; Golfweek magazine reported last month it was for five years and could pay Woods as much as $100 million, moving him closer to the $1 billion mark in career endorsements.

According to Woods, Gatorade has been part of his game plan for years as he's excited to introduce his first signature sports drink with Gatorade next year and help develop new sports performance drinks with Gatorade in the future.....read the full story.

Southern California Wildfires...Please be safe!

Well things here in Southern California are pretty crazy at the moment. As I look out the window, the entire sky is just a foggy, haze of smoke and ash. The sun rising over the east is a red glowing ball from all of the particulate in the air and being outside is probably the worst place you could possibly be, due to the hazard of breathing. Needless to say, there's not much golf going on around So. Cal at the moment, as it's not a healthy idea to be out in that stuff. Our location hasn't been evacuated, but homes as close as 5 miles away have, so we're hoping that our luck will remain in tact.

We at Tour Golf Blog are thinking of everyone in the Southern California area, and hoping that the firefighters, who are doing an amazingly difficult task, will get this nightmare under control soon, so everyone can return to their homes and survey any damage.

The evacuee shelters in San Diego County could use supplies and any help you can give. Please visit the link below to see what you can do to assist...anything is really appreciated as there are people who may have lost their homes and others battling the blazes who need food and water. Any thing you can do is a huge help. Thanks for your support.
