Better stock up on those $4.00 per ball Titleist Pro-V1, because if Callaway golf has their way, they may be going off shelves by January 2009..Here’s why;
The case, Callaway Golf Co. v. Acushnet Co., filed in 2006, arose from Callaway’s contention that Titleist’s Pro V1 balls infringed on a number of golf ball patents. After a December 2007 trial, the jury found all but one of Callaway’s patent claims to be valid.
Callaway owns the patents through its ownership of the Spalding family of golf brands. Spalding filed for the patents …

Here is the recently announced PGA Tour Schedule.  Still to be determined are details on a revamped FedEx Cup, and whether to take a week off before the Tour Championship.
Once that it is decided, the Tour said it would release the rest of its Fall Series schedule.

I’m sure lots of your have seen this video of Charles Barkley and what’s probably the worst golf swing in the history of the game, but I saw it again the other day and just had to re-post it. It almost makes me want to vomit, and I think that my handicap actually went up a few strokes from simply watching that disaster of a swing.  Enjoy, and kids…please don’t try this at home.

Anthony Kim was disqualified Sunday from the HSBC Champions for playing with an altered driver.
Kim accidentally hit a sprinkler head as he tapped his driver on the ground while walking down the seventh fairway.
“I wasn’t angry or anything, just walking down the fairway,” Kim said. “The toe hit the sprinkler, hit the top of the sprinkler, and I looked at it and it looked a little bit different. But I wasn’t sure and I put it in my bag.”
