Think You Can Break 100 at Bethpage Black??

15 November 2008 5,950 views 7 Comments

Before last years U.S. Open at Torrey Pines, Tiger said that there was absolutely no way any amateur golfer could break 100 playing the course set-up for professional conditions.  Golf Digest decided to find out and the Golf Digest U.S. Open Challenge was born.  Well good news, it's back again this year, and the lucky winner will get to play Bethpage Black with Michael Jordan, Justin Timberlake and one other celebrity just before the start of the 2009 U.S. Open  Last years winner shot 114 at Torrey, and it's very likely that the Black will be an even greater test.

All you have to do is in exactly 6 words, explain why you would be the best representative of average American golfers to try your hand at Bethpage, under U.S. Open conditions & what you would shoot.  Sounds easy right?  Well it's not.  Think you've got what it takes to bring your "A" game to the most difficult test of golf ever (and in front of Michael Jordan and millions of T.V. viewers? )
