I was on Twitter yesterday and ran into a fellow Twitterer by the name of Golf Sigma. We got to chatting and I checked out their website and I have to say I was extremely impressed. For those of you who haven’t been to the site, GolfSigma.com is the most comprehensive golf tee time search engine available. They have the most extensive inventory and search capabilities of any tee-time site I’ve tried, and I’ve used quite a few to book tee times over the years.
GolfSigma.com aggregates tee times from the leading sites, providing a massive tee time database which can then be searched, filtered and sorted to help you find the perfect tee time, course & price. The great thing is with the large inventory, GolfSigma.com caters not only to the local golfer that books one or two days ahead, but also to the destination golfer that typically needs to book several weeks in advance when planning a trip.
A typical search for a major metropolitan location will generate over 100 courses and 1,200 tee times which can then be filtered and sorted by location, course, time and price. Once you select a tee-time, you are automatically redirected to the tee-time source web site for booking and payment. There is no additional fee for use and you don’t need to sign up for anything.
The initial launch of the service includes Arizona, California and New Mexico with Florida, Georgia and South Carolina available March 1st 2009. Other U.S. locations will be progressively added with the entire nation available on-line by June 1st, 2009.
