Play in the 2009 virtual U.S. Open Championship

You might remember a few months ago I did a post about World Golf Tour, the world’s most authentic, online golf simulation experience. We’ll, the guys at WGT contacted me the other day and they have got something really cool up their sleeve. WGT has partnered up with the USGA & Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, NY and created a virtual U.S. Open tournament that anyone can sign up to play. It’s absolutely free and you’ll be playing against other online golfers around the world.

Bill Murray sends a spectator to the hospital

During the first round of the Outback Pro-Am Friday, Bill managed to hook drive so far left that he hit spectator Gail DiMaggio as she was watching the tournament from her front yard.  Her yard was a full street over from the golf course. Is Sergio Garcia intentionally a jerk…

…Or can he just not help it? With his latest criticism of Augusta National and The Masters, after his spectacular tie for 38th finish, I can’t help but feel that everything that comes out of this guys mouth is something negative. So here’s the top “Sergio Garcia Blaming Everyone Else & Being a Jerk” moments.

1. Golf is too Tricky – After shooting over par rounds on Saturday & Sunday to a dismal Tie for 38th finish, Sergio whined that the course is “too tricky” and not “fair”….

The 2009 Masters..A disappointment?

Well this years Masters is officially over, and I’m left with mixed emotions. In a way, I feel a bit cheated. Not becasue we didn’t get to see Tiger and Phil at the top of the leaderboard at the end of Sunday. Well I guess that may be part of it, but I’m mainly have mixed feelings because of the quality of play (or lack thereof) by the Sunday leaders during the final holes of regulation, and the playoff for that matter.
