Can’t make it to Augusta? Flyover the Masters

Flyover The Masters Fly over each hole at Augusta National & get a perspective that only the guys in the MetLife blimp get to see.  It’s amazing how different the layout looks from several hundred feet above.

Gary Player says goodbye to the Masters

It was a great scene to see Gary Player walk up the 18th hole at Augusta to a standing ovation this afternoon in what would be his final Masters appearance. Gary Player has claimed 3 Masters victories, the first coming back in 1961 and the others in 1974 & 1978. Even after shooting an 83 and missing the cut, Gary smiled and waived at the crowd who has followed his career since the early 1950′s.

WARNING – Video taping your golf swing can be hazerdous to your game

I just can’t figure out how it happens. Every couple of months, that damn digital video recorder climbs out of it’s case and finds it’s way down to the practice tee (with it’s buddy the tri-pod) and proceeds to give my swing a good roughing up. It usually happens when I’m playing some of my best golf. In it’s wake, that little recorder leaves a trail of mental & physical anguish with sleepless nights and neglected family as I proceed to correct grip, stance and swing flaws that are more imaginary that a thing of reality.

“Am I coming a little over the top?” “Is my takeaway a little too inside?”, “Does my grip look a little too strong?”. And then I try to fix all of these little quirks….

Masters 2009 Thoughts

I absolutely love the Masters & I look forward to this tournament all year long. It’s safe to say that I’ll be rooting for a Tiger win, but more importantly, I am keeping my fingers crossed thatMickelson can keep his act together and maybe, just maybe we’ll get a Tiger / Phil battle on Sunday. That would make for some great drama considering the relationship between those guys.

It’s Official…I’m giving up golf forever
