A +3 or 4 handicapper these days still may find that they are not good enough. Some players can player under par regulary but can they do it under pressure? I should imagine it's a whole different game once your out there with the big boys.

Go to pro !
that was my dream too .But when I realised even after working so hard I am not able to get near to my state players even I left the hope . That's what happens to many others .Golf is a game of confidence and talent . At times we are playing good but suddenly start panic and end up in playing a boggy golf .
I now try my luck in some online golf games to satisfy my dream and play pretty well there and happy in that .
try this online golf games site .<a href="http://www.minigolfonlinegames.com" rel="nofollow">online golf games</a>

Well, I guess anyone who has played the game well enough to get his his or her ball to grip the green and spin back a little would have entertained thoughts of turning pro and if not turning pro, atleast taking on a pro for sure!

The fact is we just get to see the sight of these big golfers turning up on course at big ticket tournaments and basking in the limelight. What we miss out on are the hard yards put in by them away from the glare that makes them what they are and that is why I have nothing but utmost respect for people who turn professional and devote theur entire career to it.

In high school, I thought I might be able to get a scholarship and then try to go pro from there. But, the bottom line is that there is a huge difference between a 5 handicap player and a plus 1 or plus 2. It is so hard to shoot under par that by the end of high school, I knew I'd never be a pro. Like you, I didn't have the option of playing golf all day long and working on my game. I'm 30 now and still hover around a 5. I'd like to think the Champions Tour will be an option if I'm able to put more time in my game, but I make mistakes on the course no pro would ever make, and I don't see that changing. Frankly, it all comes down to touch and putting. I average 2 putts a hole and that will never give me any chance to play professional golf. It's fun to think about, though.
