Top 10 mistakes all newbie golfers make

Alright newbie golfers, it’s time to learn a couple of things that some of your more experienced golfing friends might be afraid to discuss with you. We were all new to the game at some point, so this is going to be for your benefit. Keep in mind, I’m not laughing with you, I’m laughing at you…wait, flip that the other way around. Some of these are just lessons you’ll learn as you play more, but not knowing correct golf terminology makes you look like a real goofball. Let’s dive right in…..

Tiger misses the cut…but at least we have Tom Watson?

Never thought I’d say that…I’m still trying to figure out exactly what’s going on over there at Turnberry. Tiger is going home early (who saw that coming) and a 59 year old man is leading after the second day. Add to that Mark Calcavecchia, the 1989 British Open champ, stands one shot back, and several other big names, including Vijay Singh, Retief Goosen and Miguel Angel Jimenez, are two back.

Finding the motivation to play

It’s rare that anyone would ever hear me say the following words but, I have absolutely no motivation to play golf. I’m just not into it whatsoever lately. The weather has been beautiful, the days long and work has been slow. The perfect condistions, that any other time, would have me drooling to get on the course, but I just don’t feel it. I have no tournaments on the horizon to get me fired up about practicing. My golfing buddies have had too many other distractions to get on the course lately…..

The Mickelson family can’t catch a break
