Coming into today, I never could have predicted that Lefty would have played the round he did.  The guy is just hot or not…but today Phil was on fire.  As always, it’s so much fun to watch Mickelson when he’s in form.  It’s too bad Tiger couldn’t get a birdie or two earlier in the round and put a little more pressure on Phil.
Either way, how could we ask for anything more.  Both Tiger and Phil winning on the same day.  It’s a PGA Tour dream.   What are your thoughts …

If you happen to be a golfer AND and art buff, you should check out GolfSketch.com. Nick O’Connell is a golf course architect in the U.K. and has taken some if his course design sketches & drawings and turned them into beautiful greeting cards and calendars that can be purchased. I think it’s great that Nick has allowed us to see some of his course design work in this form. Most of us never get to see the vision of how a course is designed in the mind of the architect, and to have it in an affordable medium so it can be shared with others is a brilliant idea.

Ruth Day, a 64-year-old retiree from northern England, had the day of her life on the golf course last week.

Day managed to shoot two holes-in-one in the same round at Whitley Bay Golf Club, where she is a member.

“A hole in one in itself is usually pretty amazing,” Day said in Friday’s edition of The Journal, a newspaper in northeast England. “But I couldn’t believe it when I did the same thing 10 holes further on.”

After more than 2 years of playing Nike Pro Combo Tour irons I’ve decided it’s time for some new sticks. I really have no good reason to change other than I’m having a sudden bout of GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome), which probably isn’t the best reason in the world to switch. Actually, truth be told, I have a friend who works for Callaway Golf, and I can get just about any clubs for half of retail price, so that helped me make up my mind.

Well as of right now, the PGA Live Points Projection looks like this for the top 10. By the looks of things, the projections show that Tiger & Stricker are the two in contention next week to win the cup. Unless something miraculous happens today or Sunday, it sure doesn’t look like any other players will have enough points to challenge next week. Vote in the poll below and let us know who you think will win. Vote Now!
